The Traditional Greenland Games at Share Discovery Village are returning for 2024!
A unique event to Northern Ireland, the traditional Greenland Games allows paddlers of all levels to learn this unique style of paddling. This years games will be held at Share Discovery Village on Friday 27th – Sunday 29th September.
The weekend is an opportunity for those who have an interest in Greenland kayaking to share ideas, learn new skills and to hone their kayaking techniques. The weekend will consist of coaching and trying out new ideas. There will also be lots of fun competitions throughout the weekend. This unique paddling event is the only event of its kind happening in Northern Ireland.
The weekend will consist of:
- Greenland Ropes Games / Gymnastics
- Harpoon Throwing
- Greenland Rolling Techniques
- Rolling session in Share Discovery Village pool (Friday evening)
- Yoga workshop
- Socials in bar on Friday & Saturday evening
- Greenland themed meal on Saturday evening
- Presentation delivered by guest speaker
