Halloween Howler

21 October 2011

RampRage SHARE death defying displays as witching hour draws near.

RampRage, Ireland's No1 Extreme Sports Road Show will be rolling into Share Holiday Village with a triple punch BMX, Skate & Blade demo as part of SHARE Halloween Howler. Expect thrills, spills, chances to win and a few surprises as this pro-team lay it down as the Witching Hour draws near.

RampRage are professional athletes delivering show-stopping performances at festivals and events throughout Ireland. The high-octane routines are a blend of exciting choreography and expression from the world of freestyle BMX, Skate, Blade and Break-dance.

The entire Roadshow is a self-contained arena for the purpose of adrenaline-induced action. With a live mix of banging beats feeding the performances, the fusion of energy between the performers and the crowd inspires an electric atmosphere. The live MC brings the show right to the spectators, fuelling participation and crowd interaction with every mind-blowing manoeuvre. RampRage is world-class entertainment delivered by highly trained professional athletes in a safe controlled environment as Gary Flynn – RampRage suggests:

"RampRage is simply the most spectacular display of stunts, agility, and dedication that you are likely to see in Fermanagh this year. The team have been working hard to put together a special Halloween display especially for this event and we are looking forward to performing in Fermanagh for the first time."

Events funding from Fermanagh District Council has ensured that this high profile extreme sports display will come to SHARE on Saturday October 29th. Now in its third year, the Halloween Howler has been going from strength to strength, fast becoming the South West’s premier Halloween event attracting 2000 people from Fermanagh and the surrounding counties of Monaghan, Cavan, Sligo, Leitrim and Armagh.

Alongside the extreme sports display, SHARE are offering a vast array of activities for this family fun day. New for 2011, visitors can avail of thrilling speed boat rides, take part in a pumpkin moonlight paddle or be scared out of their wits on the haunted forest trail. The event is also being supported by Oak Healthy Living Project who are bringing their Exhausted Farmers samba band and the Lisnaskea Skate Display.

Starting at 2pm there is something for all ages as Share are offering ghost ship fireworks cruises, Halloween carnival games, pyrotechnic display, pumpkin carving, face painting and balloon modelling as well as a number of other arts, land and water activities as Rory Martin – Share Marketing Officer suggests

We are delighted with how this event has developed over recent years providing a unique event for families in this region. The range of activities on offer are unavailable elsewhere and the minimal entrance fee means that low income families and groups can still attend. RampRage is a truly spectacular display and we look forward to bringing it to Fermanagh for the first time!

Visitors can enjoy the best view of the fireworks from the ghost ship as it cruises around the bay with story telling, face painting, games and ghoulish snacks on board, with prizes for the best fancy dress, best Halloween gag and other spot prizes. Ghost ship cruises leave on the hour every hour from 2pm and incur a small extra charge.

Entrance fees are priced at just £6.00 per child, £7.00 per adult, £20 family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) and Under 2's go free!

Some activities may incur a small extra charge i.e Cruise £3.50 per adult, £2.00 per child. Pumpkins £1.00 each.
