Fool Time Festival is back for its fourth year!
Lisnaskea Fool Community Time Festival, back for its fourth year.
Lisnaskea again plays host to the Fool Time Community Festival. Now in its fourth year, the Festival is growing in size, range and number of performers. There is a lot to see and enjoy such as characters from Willy Wonka, green aliens, purple peacocks, blonde cheerleaders, several marching bands and lots lots more.
A change from previous years is that there will be pre-parade events for spectators to enjoy, free of charge. From 1.30pm in the Buttermarket Yard, the comedy duo The Grundy Bros will eat fire, rest on a bed of nails and tell a few jokes. Killadeas Day Care Centre clients have been learning to stiltwalk under expert supervision from Streetwise Circus and they will put on a performance in the Buttermarket Yard. The Chinese Lion Dancers will also perform in costume so expect lots of fun and noise. Watch out for the window displays in several of the shop fronts as they have been made and designed by pupils at St Eugene’s Secondary in Roslea.
The parade then kicks off at 2.30pm and will take its time getting along Main Street. Come along, enjoy the spectacle, bring friends.
A lot of hard work has gone into this and Majella Flanagan, the Festival organise and Arts Co-Ordinator at Share Centre, lists among the generous support the Lisnaskea Women’s Group, Jarlath Rice, arts worker at Share, Genevieve Murphy artist with FDC’s Art of Regeneration Programme, Prince’s Trust and the PSNI.
