Language Teachers

Share run an English as a foreign language residential programme during Easter, Summer and Halloween. Each year a number of suitably qualified teachers are required to provide English Immersion classes to participants.

Details: We are currently recruiting for our Summer Programme beginning on 26th June 2009

  • Location: Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland

Key Duties Include:

  • Teaching of English to Italian children aged 11-15 years old, 3 hours per day.
  • On finish of the residential teachers will be required to mark workbooks and complete reports.
  • Occasional Supervision of Evening Entertainment
  • Supervision on Excursions if required
  • Pastoral care of students


Hardworking and innovative, teachers should be lively, enthusiastic, enjoy working with children/teenagers with a strong sense of responsibility and education. English Immersion Lessons should place an emphasis on improving the oral skills of each student in addition to grammar and vocabulary work.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be qualified mother tongue/idiomatic speakers of English. Ideally they will hold a CELTYL (young learners), CELTA (CTEFLA) or TESOL and/or PGCE plus relevant teaching experience.

Compensation:

For Residential Teachers - The teacher salary is £290 per 7 day week i.e. £41.42 per day based on a 3 hour day. This includes accommodation (limited), food and free access to leisure suite.

For Non Residential Teachers - The Teacher salary is £16.50 per hr based on a 3 hour day. Food and leisure suite menbership is not included.

Applicants should be available during the period of 26th June –30th August 2010.

Contact with groups are between the dates of 25th June – 2nd August

There may be the occasional day off while the students are on day trips. Teachers will not be paid for dates with no group contact but residential teachers will receive free accommodation and food at the Share Holiday Village, however you are free to use this time as an opportunity to travel around Ireland.

You will be allocated a group and level to work with. Average class size will be 12 - 15 pupils. Teachers staying on site will receive free accommodation and food at the Share Holiday Village. There is limited chalet style shared accommodation available for teachers.
