What age do you have to be?

Providing outdoor enthusiasts with valuable qualifications and experience to start a career in the industry or for gap year students before or after University the outdoor course is dubbed the ‘one stop shop’ for over 18’s to develop career opportunities.

How many places are there?

With 8-10 places available every year, successful applicants can avail of top level instruction in a wide variety of disciplines working towards qualifications in each.

What do I get out of it?

Apart from working in a state of the art facility with top level equipment and a real community atmosphere. The year long training programme involves 6 months training and 6 months practical work experience with numerous trips away from Share to other outdoor facilities, clubs, competitions, lakes, rivers and streams around Ireland North and South. Typical qualifications and training attained after one year include;

Does the course cost anything?

Something for free? Well, pretty much! Successful applicants will receive accommodation, food, training and equipment as well as a weekly wage of £60 and holidays.
