Share Discovery Village, Northern Ireland’s largest residential activity centre, is delighted to announce the opening of a brand-new Changing Places Facility. Funded by Mannok, this fully equipped facility ensures that visitors of all abilities can enjoy a safe, comfortable, and inclusive experience when visiting our centre in Co. Fermanagh.
What Is a Changing Places Facility?
A Changing Places Facility is more than just an accessible toilet — it provides the specialist equipment and extra space needed by people with complex care needs. Our new facility includes:
- A height-adjustable changing bench
- An overhead hoist system
- Ample space for multiple carers
- Accessible toilet facilities
This ensures that adults, children, and families with additional support needs can enjoy their visit with dignity and confidence.

Supporting Inclusive Adventures for All
Funded by Mannok, this vital addition reflects our shared commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.
“We are incredibly grateful to Mannok for their generous support in making Share Discovery Village even more accessible. This facility will allow more families, schools, and community groups to enjoy everything we have to offer—without the worry of finding suitable changing facilities.”
– Catherine Keaney, Marketing Co-ordinator at Share Discovery Village
Caroline McCaffrey, Mannok Human Resources Manager, added:
“Accessibility and inclusivity are fundamental to ensuring everyone can enjoy meaningful experiences. We are proud to support the Share Discovery Village in creating this vital new facility.”
Why Accessibility Matters at Share Discovery Village
Located in the heart of Co. Fermanagh, Share Discovery Village has long been dedicated to creating inclusive outdoor adventures. Our activities, residential stays, and respite programmes are open to people of all ages and abilities.
With the introduction of this Changing Places Facility, we can now welcome even more families, schools, disability groups, and community organisations — making sure no one misses out on the joy of outdoor experiences due to a lack of suitable facilities.
Additional Accessibility Support Onsite
In addition to the new Changing Places Facility, Share Discovery Village also provides a profile bed and hoist for guests staying overnight. This ensures that visitors who require specialist equipment can enjoy longer stays in comfort, with the support they need built into their accommodation.
