💚 Volunteer at Share Discovery Village – Make a Difference
Have you ever wanted to give something back, learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference?
At Share Discovery Village, volunteering is a big part of what we do.
Based just outside Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh, on the shores of Upper Lough Erne, Share is a registered charity and accessible residential activity centre. Since 1981, we have been creating opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy adventure, friendship, independence and new experiences.
Our volunteers help make that possible.
🌿 What Could You Do?
There are lots of different ways to volunteer at Share, and you don’t need to be an expert. We welcome people with different skills, interests and backgrounds.
Volunteering opportunities can include:
- 🛠️ Painting and maintaining our chalets and site
- 🚣 Supporting instructors and outdoor activity groups
- ♿ Supporting guests with disabilities
- 🍽️ Helping with meals and hospitality
- 🏡 Helping prepare accommodation for guests
- 🌳 Gardening and outdoor projects
- 👥 Helping groups and visitors during their stay
The work can be varied, practical and rewarding – and you’ll be part of a team helping people enjoy their time at Share.
🌍 Local, National & International Volunteers
We welcome enquiries from local, national and international volunteers.
For international volunteers, spending time at Share can be a fantastic opportunity to experience life in Northern Ireland, meet people from different backgrounds and become part of a busy charity and residential activity centre.
For local volunteers, it can be a great way to give something back to your community, develop new skills or simply spend your time doing something worthwhile.
🏡 Accommodation & Meals
For some volunteering opportunities, accommodation and meals can be provided, making Share a great option for people who would like to spend a period of time with us.
The arrangements will depend on the volunteering opportunity and length of stay.
👋 Who Can Volunteer?
There is no set upper age limit for volunteering at Share.
Whether you’re looking for work experience, want to develop new skills, enjoy working outdoors, have practical skills to share or simply want to give your time, we’d love to hear from you.
As we work with children, young people and adults with disabilities, safeguarding is extremely important. Volunteers will be required to complete an AccessNI check before working on our site, depending on their role.
