The Children from Positive Futures enjoyed a morning matinee at Share Discovery Village on the 22nd May. The Arts Arena was used for the movie day which went down as a great success with the group.

About Positive Futures

Positive Futures provides opportunities for children and young people to become more involved in the community and make it possible for families to live fuller lives. They work with kids with learning disabilities, injuries or those in the autistic spectrum and have teamed up with SHARE to provide a safe place where they can enjoy themselves.

The room at SHARE which the young people will use is cosy, colourful and quiet, making it ideal for these young groups. They also have the freedom to use the play park which is just outside.

SHARE is making weekend activities possible for the local families whilst allowing the children the freedom to be who they are. The next SHARE Saturday is the 22nd June, activities in the Sensory Room and Games for Families.

Tea and coffee for parents provided also on the day.

Review of Event

Majella from Positive Futures had the following to say about the event:

“We had a good turn out and the children thoroughly enjoyed the movie. SHARE was extremely helpful and created a fantastic area for the matinee for the kids which was not only homely but extremely relaxing and fun for the kids.

The parents were relaxed also as this gave their children the freedom of space to enjoy the surroundings whilst enjoying the movie.”
